In the creation process, D’Vo says, “The Codex: In My Bag definitely shows the growth process in making music in general, in his first project he rarely used autotune effects but delved in with this compilation. In creating this release, he tried to keep the album concept simple while remaining grounded to the essence of The Codex, which references faith.
Volume II, “The Codex: Running The Point,” dropped April 11, 2020, featuring G-Funk style in the music itself. Elevated Thinkin & Swagger From My Father both received plaques after being listed in the Top 10 Independent Charts.

His past brand name, n.e.r.d. life by D'Vo, is an acronym for “Needing Enteral Redemption and Deliverance.” This is a recurring theme within his musical projects where he affirms his purpose to show the world that God is the answer to all things. Not only is he a solo artist, but D’Vo was also the lead singer and emcee of Global Rhythm, a soul-fusion funk band consisting of worldwide musicians, including Master Pe (Brazil) and OB3ple (Sweden).
